The Office of Institutional Advancement recently closed the books on another successful year of fundraising, with a total of $4,327,263 raised. This year marks the third consecutive year of fundraising in excess of $4 million. Paired with matching funds of $1.6 million from the state, the total income for fiscal year 2018 totals $5,927,000, according to Vice President of Institutional Advancement Christopher J. Galligan.
“Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we will continue to develop and offer more educational opportunities at CCSU,” Galligan said. “Every year we set our fundraising goals a little bit higher, because we know our dedicated staff are equally passionate about raising the funds necessary to offer more students a chance at an education.”
Meanwhile, the CCSU Foundation awarded more than $2 million in scholarships this year — another milestone for the university. As of June 29, the unaudited value of the university endowment totaled $77,420,000.
“This tremendous growth is due to the generosity of the Central Family,” Galligan notes. “A family that truly values the University philosophy of connectivity. It is this connection to each other that motivates alumni and friends of the University to support present and future student success.”
